Rownok is a Graduate Student pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics in the Department of Quantitative and Computational Biology. He received a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). During his undergraduate studies, he developed reference-free single-cell genomics methods for analyzing non-model organisms under the supervision of Prof. Atif Rahman. Rownok is interested in developing algorithms and interpretable AI models to uncover the principles of genome folding and translate these insights into a deeper understanding of gene regulation and distal regulatory element interactions in mammalian genomes.
